The Long Journey


For almost 400 years the Danish state has been running or controlling the companies which have been instrumental in communicating our messages.


On 3rd floor of Post & Tele Museum you will find "the permanent exhibition". Here the conditions of communication through three eras are described in three different galleries tied together by an axis. As distinctive fixed points on the journey through the four centuries we have chosen the ball mail coach, the iceboat, the wagon, the motorbike, and the telephone box. Around them we have grouped selected objects and pictures from the museum’s collections chronologically and thematically, supplemented with a number of "hands-on" possibilities.
